Delkira created their world and that's the role of the demon king and demons evolved the way they did through having to live in a harsh environment to survive so they're similar to humans but evolved to have wings and magic pretty much. I'd say this is litterally the best arc written in the manga atm with newest arc that just ended probably the second and maybe another arc with Crocile again being probably the 3rd best.
